WORKBENCHcon 2020 will provide networking opportunities with major brands and fellow makers, DIY-ers, bloggers, and influencers. This is a conference where, as a businessperson, you’ll want to have business cards available to hand out.
A friendly smile, conversational manner, and an effective business card will set yourself up for success at WORKBENCHcon.
Designing Your Business Cards
Business cards bear brief yet essential information about a company or individual. They are usually small, rectangular pieces of card stock that can conveniently fit in a pocket or a wallet. But even though they are small, any successful businessperson knows the importance of business cards. Indeed, they can mean the difference between a missed opportunity and success.
Business cards are a great way to show off your creativity! In addition including basic information such as your name, contact info, website name and url (if applicable), and social media handles, be sure to include graphics that stand out – if that fits with your overall branding. Because they are relatively small, it can be difficult to include the info and design you want on your cards without it looking overcrowded. It may be a little bit more expensive to make, but the back of your business card is a great chuck of available space for additional info.
Including a photo of yourself on the card is a great way to be remembered long after a conference ends.
Many business card manufacturers offer lots of style options like card thickness, gloss options, material options, and more. You’re not limited to the typical rectangular shape either, as many card companies offer square, round, and even folded options. Many DIY-ers out there even make their own cards out of materials such as wood, which results in a stunning little work of art that will stand out in a pile of cards.
Stickers
Stickers are a fun option to give out at conferences. Many folks love to trade these stickers as mementos and later display the ones they collected in their workshops.
We hope this article has provided some inspiration for you! Most people probably plan to bring 250 to 500 cards for a conference. Whatever decisions you make regarding your business cards, be sure not to wait until the last minute to get them made.
